Intellectual Disabilities

At Touching Lives with Care our experience extends to working with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. As a matter fact before Trish started her journey with touch therapies, her area of expertise was working with individuals with disablilities.  

Individuals with disabilities have difficulities processing information which affects their learning and understanding. The disablilty can range from mild to moderate to severe. Their challenges vary along with the level of support needed for them to complete daily living routines. Disabilities may affect mobility, vision, communication, processing of information and social skills.
